Curricular internships offer students a valuable learning experience wherein they engage in hands-on work at a facility affiliated with the University, or within University of Messina facilities such as laboratories and centers (internal internships). The primary goal is to acquire firsthand knowledge of the professional world. This on-the-job training is an integral part of the student's degree program, providing a unique opportunity to directly engage with real-world work activities and practices. The practical training creates a dynamic balance between study and work, facilitating interns' career choices through their direct exposure to the professional environment.
Curricular internships may take place only during the third year and only in authorized laboratories or companies. Unauthorized internships cannot be considered.

At the end of the internship, the student must prepare the following documentation:
- Activity Log
- Evaluation Form
- Activity Report
- Internship Completion Online Form (available here: https://forms.office.com/e/PY4GLkCNnW).
The PDF document received via email must be sent (accompanied by the three documents listed above, duly completed and signed as per the regulations) to protocollo@unime.it and tirocini.l31@unime.it.
All the required signatures (academic supervisor, intern, internship supervisor) must be correctly included. Incomplete documentation will not be processed and, consequently, the internship credits will not be recorded.
