TOLC/OFA CISIA Test

Acoordingly to the decisions taken by the University Academic Governance, starting from the academic year 2022/2023, the initial background knowledge of enrolled students will be assessed solely through the TOLC CISIA test. Enrolled students are required to take the appropriate TOLC CISIA test for their degree course (see table). The test can be taken on the dates established and listed on the CISIA website.

In the event that the initial background knowledge assessment is not positive, Additional Training Obligations (OFA) will be assigned to the student, to be fulfilled in the first year of the course. Fulfillment of OFA will be verified in two ways:

  1. by passing a CISIA OFA test of the type required for one's degree course. The types of OFA test required for each degree course, with the evaluated sections and minimum thresholds, are detailed in the "CDS_testOFA" table;
  2. by demonstrating knowledge of certain topics taught in specific courses offered in the first year of each degree course. The list of subjects whose exams fulfill the OFA for the academic years 2022/23 and 2223/24 is visible in the "CDS_EsamiOFA" table.

Further detailed information on TOLC and OFA tests is available in the relevant section of the University website.

Please note that any student enrolled in the academic year 2022-2023 who does not take the TOLC-CISIA test or fails to fulfill any OFA debt by December 31, 2023, will have to repeat the first year of course in the next academic year and won't be able to take any exam of the second year of course.

If you want to take the TOLC-I test in English, you need to register for the "English TOLC-I." Please note that if the word "English" is not present in the test name, then the test will be in Italian.
